Risen

A LOTRO Kinship on Eldar

Risen Rules Print
All members should always keep in mind that whatever action they take in game or whatever post they submit on forum reflects on RISEN as a kin. Every member is an ambassador of our kin. So make yourself proud to wear the Risen tag above your head. Flaming, naming and shaming will not be tolerated.

General

  • Risen will recruit new members on a trial basis.
  • During the trial recruits are welcome to raid but will have limited rights to roll on bind on acquire items. (See the Raiding Loot section).
  • There is no fixed length for the Risen trial period but it will be a minimum of 2 weeks.
  • Once a member has shown good skill, commitment to risen and the ability to follow rules & instruction they will be confirmed as a full member.
  • If you have multiple characters, propose one as your main.
  • When confirmed as a member your main character will have preference when rolling for items in raids.
  • Membership status in game is given only to a member's main character. Other characters a member has in the kin are referred to as 'alts'
  • You are allowed to switch main characters with the following conditions ...
    1. There must be an open recruitment spot for the class of your proposed new main.
    2. Your current main must have held this status for the previous 120 days.
    3. The proposed main must have been an alt in Risen for at least 30 days.
    4. The Risen leader must agree to the switch.
    5. After leader agreement your proposed main must complete 2 full raids before gaining main status.
  • You are responsible for your own account, if you have given someone else access to your account and they break the rules you will be held accountable for their actions.

Raiding

  • Sign up/off at least 24 hours before every raid in the raid planner.
  • If you DON'T even bother to respond to sign up/off post, you will NOT be invited to raid.
  • If you have more than 1 level 60 then you must make all alts available on the days you sign up for.
  • Raiding with other kins is allowed provided there is no kin raid taking place at the same time and only in the following locations...
    • Dar Narbugud, The Vile Maw, Filikul, Helegro, The Rift
  • If you don't bother to reply to raid planner multiple times, then Risen is just not the kin for you.
  • If you signed up and cant come, leave a post on the raid planner section as soon as possible !!
  • Be on time. Without notification of being late a replacement may be found for your spot.
  • Not only be on time, be on the right location as well.
  • Bring the required consumables: see announcement in the raiding and instances forum.
  • No bullshit on vent or kinchat during a raid.  Particularly when tactics are being discussed.
  • Don't loot in combat.
  • Have the right traits equipped.
  • Do your homework and read up on tactics.

Exploiting

  • Risen led raids or instances will not be exploited by any of the following methods.
    • Leaving group to run past mobs.
    • Deliberately standing in a place where a mob cannot hit you when it clearly should be able to do so.
    • Actively resetting raid or instance locks to perform subsequentruns before the locks have reset on their own.
  • Specific exploits which are not permissable will be listed on the member forum.

Inactivity

  • Players can declare themselves inactive at any time they choose.
  • If you do not log on for 21 days, you will automatically be declared inactive.
  • If you sign off all raids for 21 days you will automatically be declared inactive unless your absence from raiding has been agreed with the kin leader beforehand.
  • When returning from inactivity...
    • Returning players can re-gain member status if there is a vacancy for their class.
    • If there is more than one player waiting for the same vacancy then priority will be given to the player who has been inactive for the shorter period of time.
    • Criteria for re-gaining member status will be decided upon by the leader.
    • Returning players can sign up to raids and will have the same rolling rights as recruits.
  • Players listed as inactive who continue to play regularly on Eldar freep risk removal from Risen.

Loot

  • The following rules apply to official Risen led raid/instance runs only.
  • Official runs are those led by an officer or lieutenant unless stated otherwise.
  • During looting all group members will be invited to roll for bind on acquire items (BoA) in the following order... (If all pass for 1. we move to 2. and so on

  • You are permitted to log to another character for loot provided:
    • Your other character is outside the instance ready to enter.
    • Your other character is not required in a subsequent raid which locks would invalidate.
    • The container being looted is the final action inside the raid/instance.
  • A "session" is defined as a single or consecutive set of raid or instance runs.
  • To keep sessions moving smoothly the group leader may choose to loot without using master looter.
    • When this happens all members of the group are allowed to roll on all items.
    • If any group member wishes to use the standard rolling rules instead then let the leader know before looting.
    • Unwanted items will be randomly assigned or go to the kin bank.

  • IXP Runes and settings are free for anyone in the group to roll on.
  • Under exceptional circumstances the group leader may restrict rolls to individuals based on class suitability or the needs of the kin.
  • Alts of Risen members that are not in the kinship cannot roll for any items in an offical raid.
  • Any variation to these rules must be agreed on by everyone in the group before starting, otherwise the rules stand as written.
  • Any member who joins a group after the start must be informed of any variation to the standard rules and must abide by them if they wish to stay.

PvMP

  • Do NOT spam OOC or get involved in public flame wars.
  • There are no rules as to who you can target or how often you target someone.
  • We run a free for all as far as PvP is concerned, however all members of Risen are reminded that their actions as an individual often reflect on the kinship as a whole.
